Silver Ships Attends the International WorkBoat Show 2017

Silver Ships works closely with operators and vendors in the commercial vessel industry to provide customers with cutting-edge technology and state-of-the-art boat building practices. From survey to tow boats, Silver Ships has the ability to customize many different types of work boats to fit the mission specific functions desired.

The International WorkBoat Show is a trade show conference and expo for commercial vessel owners, operators and builders as well as suppliers and vendors that serve the industry. This year’s event will include breakout sessions, question and answer opportunities and networking events to help build relationships within the industry. By attending this event, we are able to see the vendors with whom we currently work, connect with new vendors and experience new product offerings.

Silver Ships recently designed and built a custom towboat for Alamitos Bay Marine (the TowBoat US franchise owner and operator for Long Beach, California). The vessel, a 28-foot-10-inch AM800 with a walk around cabin, is the latest addition to Silver Ships’ workboat commissions. The boat was constructed to fulfill Alamitos Bay Marine’s need for a faster boat that could help extend the range of run distance and towing capabilities. Equipped with a heavy-duty towing post and cleats, the vessel is used to help keep boaters in Long Beach safe and free from the stress of potential breakdown as well as to assist in additional missions such as dewatering flooded boats.

In addition to the recent Long Beach TowBoat US commission, Silver Ships is currently working on three Survey Catamarans for USACE. For more information on these and other workboat commissions, visit our website or stop by and see us at the event.

The International WorkBoat Show is November 29 – December 1 at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. We will be stationed at booth 3963 to answer questions about our workboats, building capabilities and more. Come by the booth to meet our team and be sure to interact with us and WorkBoat on social media. We can be found on Facebook and Instagram @SilverShips and make sure to use #WorkBoat2017 to join the show’s conversation.
