Silver Ships is pleased to announce a recent delivery for Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks. Two Ambar 800 Full Cabin patrol vessels will assist in law enforcement on the inland waterways of Mississippi for the fisheries and parks division. The vessels will help to preserve the ecosystem that is easily endangered by irresponsible boat and fishing activity.

These boats’ mission includes monitoring the waters for fishing licenses and dangerous activity. With the inclusion of FLIR, the vessels are equipped with the best technology to ensure the safety of everyone in and on the water – both crew and civilians.

The AM800s feature a robust navigation and communications suite that includes both Marine VHF and Law Enforcement communications equipment. The Furuno / Humminbird enhanced navigation package includes radar, side scan sonar and multiple multi-function displays for enhanced situational awareness. With Twin Suzuki 300HP outboard motors, they have the speed and maneuverability to be efficient first responders. These boats have the capability to arrive on the scene quickly, as they operate at a maximum speed of more than 45kts. The combination of these features will allow the boat to be utilized to its full capacity.
