Silver Ships Delivers Catamaran 28 to Little Rock USACE

Silver Ships recently delivered a Catamaran 28 vessel to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District. This vessel will allow Little Rock USACE to perform Hydrographic Survey Work.

The patrol boat is approximately 28’-3” long and has a beam length of 9’-6”. The vessel features twin 250HP Mercury Verado outboards allowing for speeds over 40 knots. The vessel’s stability is enhanced with Mercury Joystick Piloting with Skyhook feature that uses GPS technology to maintain vessel position and heading. There is shock mitigating seating for up to three crew members and a climate-controlled cabin for crew comfort.

Silver Ships also included navigation electronics including a survey station for processing data and Garmin GPSMAP7610XSV. A couple of key features of the vessel are its single and multibeam surveying systems. The Odom Echotrac Single Beam survey system with a hull-mounted transducer and an R2Sonic 2200 Multibeam survey system on a retractable bow mount ensure the vessel’s top performance on surveying missions.

Our team is excited to see how this vessel will help the men and women of the Little Rock USACE. For more information about Silver Ships survey boats, visit our website.
