Silver Ships, Inc. delivered three new survey vessels to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Savannah District in Georgia on June 10. Plans call for the vessels, from Silver Ships’ Freedom and Explorer series, to be dedicated and launched in a commissioning ceremony on June 12.
Silver Ships Delivers 52′ Fire Boat to Destin Fire Control District
Silver Ships Inc., Mobile, Ala., has delivered a new fire rescue vessel to the Destin Fire Control District. The 52′ Coastal Fast Response Boat (CFRB), identified as M-19, is outfitted with four 425-hp Yamaha outboards, two 1,500-gal. Darley fire pumps, and advanced firefighting and patient care technology.
Silver Ships Delivers Seventh Special Purpose Craft to Texas Coast Guard Station
Silver Ships Inc., Mobile, Ala., today delivered the seventh special purpose craft, law enforcement – second generation (SPC-LE2) vessel to a U.S. Coast Guard station in Texas. The 11-meter (36’) aluminum response boat, known informally as the “Coast Guard 36” for its hull length, will be used for law enforcement, search and rescue, coastal security, and environmental protection missions.
Silver Ships Delivers 25th Assault Amphibian Safety Boat to U.S. Marine Corps
Silver Ships, a leading manufacturer of military aluminum workboats, has completed, tested and delivered a new Assault Amphibian Safety Boat (AASB) for the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Navy. Silver Ships has now delivered 25 of 31 AASB on time since production has been in place. A noteworthy achievement of this project is that the first hull was built and tested less than nine months after the initial contract was awarded.
